Artist statement

My work explores how people experience time, identity, and emotional pressure in a changing world. I use painting, installation, and film to examine what remains after moments pass, places transform, and self-images shift.

In Last Summer, I focus on the fragility of memory. Red–turquoise, negative-like scenes capture moments that exist only as emotional fragments rather than full narratives.

Steel and Water investigates the relationship between human beings and port environments. Through paintings, crane sculptures, and documentary film, I explore labour, resilience, and the shared memory of maritime communities.

In Klaunada, I turn to the pressures of self-presentation. Inspired by the imagery of performers, the works reflect the exhaustion caused by maintaining both real and virtual identities.

Across all projects, I return to the same questions:
How do we remember, how do we endure, and what shapes the stories we tell about ourselves?
