The series “Klaunada” explores the immense energy
people devote to making an impression on others.
Throughout history, recognition and admiration
have been essential to human beings. However, in
today’s world, social media has added another layer,
amplifying this need. While social platforms offer a
space to project desirable self-images, they often
leave people comparing their lives in a negative light,
leading to discouragement. Life increasingly becomes
a constant chase for attention — an endless
“klaunada” — both in the workplace and in the virtual
realm. At the end of the day, people often feel drained
and exhausted.
In the face of the past four years’ events, people feel
incredibly worn out, and this is reflected in works of
art. They must struggle not only with real-world
challenges like pandemics, wars, revolutions, and
mass migration, but also with maintaining their
virtual personas.
The project consists of 10 pieces and an installation.
